Hello

I'm a Principal Geoscientist with 18 years of industry experience.

 

I'm the Technical Director of Mine Environment Management which I started in 2018.   We are a specialised technical company that has a focus on the operational and long-term planning aspects of mine waste management.

I've extensive practical and applied experience of the management of tailings and waste rock storage facilities across a broad range of geographical and climatic site settings and commodity types and have worked on projects in Scandinavia, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, Central and Southern America, Canada, Indonesia, Laos, and the Philippines.

I enjoy the R&D element of my work and have authored over 20 published papers relating to mine site geochemistry, mine waste management and mine closure planning presenting these at international conferences in South America, Africa, Central Asia, China, Europe, UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

 

When I'm not working I enjoy wild camping with my wife and two young girls, international travel, mountaineering and running.  In 2022 I successfully completed the 40km technical Snowdon Sky Race.
