Inspiring Women in Construction & Engineering Winner

Principal Geoscientist Diana Brookshaw and Senior Geoscientist Sophie Grant attended the prestigious Inspiring Women in Construction & Engineering awards and were delighted that MEM won the Excellence in Outreach award.

This award recognises companies that have gone the extra mile to encourage women to take part in the engineering and construction sector.

We are involved in academic outreach, including hosting regular MSc placements since 2019. We also support women in STEM and this year supported Rosalia Shiimi to become a mentor for the EQUATOR project which aims to increase participation and retention of Black, Asian and minority ethnic students in Geography, Earth and Environmental Science disciplines.
